Freed Inside Jail Ministry

Freed Inside Jail Ministry has been doing fantastic work in El Dorado County Jail located in Placerville, CA. Free on the Inside has been doing ministry for some 18 years in El Dorado County, and has become a stable presence in the Placerville jail over the years, with the participation of multiple churches.

The ministry is in a season of growing to have greater influence in the jail, and is always looking for new volunteers and supporters who are interested in jail and prison ministry.

They are a interdenominational Christian team reaching out to men and women incarcerated in El Dorado and neighboring counties with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing the love of Christ to those who are in prison and jails by providing encouragement, material support, transition back into society, Christian education, spiritual guidance and the sacramental life of the Church to prisoners and their families.

Folsom Prison Outreach

Through Prison Fellowship International we are reaching out to a combined inmate population of 7,246 (2000 census) with bibles, one-on-one mentoring, pen-pal programs, and worship services. Through Second Wind we participate with organizations to create world class reentry programs in an effort to reduce crime, recidivism and victimization.
